Blood Donation & Rice Pudding (Khir Bhojan)

On 1st May 2026, marking the 2570th Buddha Jayanti, the Rotary Club of Yala successfully organized a blood donation program at Swoyambhu, Kathmandu, in collaboration with the RC Yala Anns Group and Nakarmi Samaj. The program was conducted under the theme ‘Blood donation is a great act of virtue dedicated to saving human lives".
The event aimed to support local blood supply needs while encouraging people to get involved in life-saving efforts such as blood donation. The program witnessed notable participation from local community and devotees.
A total of 125 generous individuals, including Rtn. Om Shanker Shrestha and Rtr Subin Shrestha from the Club voluntarily donated blood in support of this noble cause. We are proud to have witnessed such compassion and selflessness from our community.
RC Yala Anns Group managed to provide fruits and juice to the blood donors.
Simultaneously, kheer (rice pudding) was served to round 4,200 devotees visiting Swoyambhu on the occasion of Buddha Jayanti.
